SINIMAX COPYRIGHT & CONTENT POLICY

This Copyright and Content Policy (“Policy”) forms part of the Terms of Service of Sinimax Limited (“Sinimax”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). It governs the use, protection, and enforcement of all intellectual property rights connected to content streamed or uploaded through the Sinimax Platform (the “Platform”).
By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this Policy, our Terms of Service, and all applicable copyright laws, including the Copyright Act, Cap C28, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 (as amended).

1. OWNERSHIP OF CONTENT

1.1. All films, motion pictures, sound recordings, graphics, trademarks, and other audiovisual works available on the Platform (“Sinimax Content”) are owned by Sinimax or licensed to it by the original copyright holders and content distributors.
1.2. Except where expressly authorized in writing, you do not acquire any ownership or rights in the Sinimax Content by merely streaming or accessing it.
1.3. Sinimax and its licensors retain full copyright, moral, and proprietary rights in all content made available on the Platform.

2. LICENSED STREAMING USE

2.1. Sinimax grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to stream and view content solely for personal, non-commercial, entertainment purposes.
2.2. You must not, whether directly or indirectly:
• Copy, reproduce, record, download, or capture any portion of the streamed content;
• Circumvent or remove any encryption, digital rights management (DRM), or watermarking technology;
• Display or perform the content publicly or in a commercial venue;
• Resell, alter, or redistribute any movie or video from Sinimax;
• Use automated tools or bots to capture, crawl, or index the content.
2.3. A breach of this provision constitutes a material violation of our Terms and may result in immediate account termination, legal action, and/or referral to enforcement authorities.

3. USER-GENERATED CONTENT

3.1. The Platform may allow users to post or share comments, chats, reviews, or social interactions (“User Content”).
3.2. By posting any User Content, you grant Sinimax a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, host, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content as part of the Platform’s operation and promotion.
3.3. You represent that you either own or have necessary rights and permissions to post such content.
3.4. Your content is not unlawful, obscene, defamatory, harassing, or otherwise offensive.
3.5. Sinimax may moderate, remove, or restrict access to any User Content that violates this Policy, our Terms of Service, or applicable laws.

4. COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT AND NOTICE PROCEDURE

4.1. Sinimax respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same.
4.2. If you believe that any material available on the Platform infringes your copyright or related rights, please submit a written infringement notice to our Copyright Agent containing the following:
• Your full name and contact information;
• A description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
• A clear identification (URL or title) of the infringing material;
• A statement declaring that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder;
• A declaration that the information in your notice is accurate and made in good faith; and
• Your physical or electronic signature.

4.4. Upon receipt of a valid notice, Sinimax will promptly investigate and, if appropriate, remove or disable access to the infringing material.
4.5. Sinimax may also notify the user responsible for the alleged infringement and, where appropriate, provide an opportunity to respond or file a counter-notice.

5. REPEAT INFRINGEMENT POLICY

5.1. Sinimax operates a “three-strike” system for copyright or content violations.
5.2. Users who repeatedly post or share infringing material may have their accounts suspended or permanently terminated.
5.3. Sinimax reserves the right to block or restrict future registration by repeat violators.

6. TRADEMARKS AND BRAND ELEMENTS

6.1. The names “Sinimax”, its logos, slogans, domain names, and other brand identifiers are trademarks or service marks of Sinimax Limited.
6.2. You may not use, display, or reference any Sinimax trademark without our prior written consent.

7. REPORTING OTHER VIOLATIONS

If you discover any content on the Platform that you believe:
• Violates another person’s intellectual property rights;
• Is defamatory, obscene, or illegal; or
• Otherwise breaches these Terms;
Please report it promptly to support@sinimax.ng with appropriate details.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Sinimax is not liable for any losses, damages, or expenses arising from:
• User-generated or third-party content;
• Mistaken or false infringement notices; or
• Temporary suspension of materials in response to a claim.
Our liability is limited as provided in the Terms of Service.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Sinimax may amend this Policy periodically to reflect changes in law, industry standards, or business practices.
Updated versions will be published with a new “Last Updated” date, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
