SINIMAX SUBSCRIPTION, PAYMENT & REFUND POLICY

This Subscription, Payment & Refund Policy (“Policy”) explains how Sinimax Limited (“Sinimax”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) manages user payments, subscriptions, renewals, and refunds on the Sinimax Platform (our website and mobile app).
This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to all registered users and subscribers (“you” or “users”).

1. SUBSCRIPTION MODEL

1.1. Sinimax offers two types of access:
• Free Access: Supported by advertisements. Limited content availability and features.
• Premium Access: Monthly or annual subscription plans with ad-free viewing and full content library access.
1.2. Subscription plans may vary based on promotional offers, bundle deals, or platform updates. Details of applicable plans, prices, and benefits will always be published on the Platform.
1.3. Subscription fees are exclusive of any government taxes, unless otherwise stated.

2. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION AND ELIGIBILITY

2.1. To subscribe, users must:
• Create a valid Sinimax account.
• Provide accurate billing information; and
• Be at least 18 years of age or possess legal parental/guardian consent.
2.2. You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
2.3. Sinimax reserves the right to verify your information and to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading data.

3. PAYMENT METHODS

3.1. Payment for a subscription plan may be made through:
• Debit or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Verve);
• Online payment gateways and wallets;
• Direct bank transfers; or
• In-app payment options provided by approved processors.
3.2. All payments are processed in Nigerian Naira (₦) or other currencies as indicated at the time of payment.
3.3. By initiating a payment, you authorize Sinimax and its payment partners to charge your account automatically for the applicable subscription fees and any renewal charges (where auto-renewal is enabled).
3.4. Sinimax shall not be responsible for any bank charges, foreign exchange differences, or third-party processing fees associated with payments.

4. AUTO-RENEWAL AND BILLING CYCLE

4.1. Subscriptions are automatically renewed at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless cancelled prior to renewal.
4.2. By subscribing, you authorize Sinimax to automatically charge the same payment method on record for each renewal period.
4.3. You may turn off auto-renewal at any time through your account settings.
4.4. Failure to renew a subscription or an unsuccessful payment transaction will automatically downgrade your account to Free Access mode.

5. PRICE CHANGES

5.1. Sinimax reserves the right to modify its subscription prices, features, or billing cycle at any time.
5.2. Any change in subscription fees will be communicated in advance via the Platform or by email and will apply from the next billing cycle after notice.

6. CANCELLATION POLICY

6.1. You may cancel your subscription at any time by visiting your account settings or contacting support@sinimax.ng.
6.2. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period — meaning you will continue to have Premium access until that period expires.
6.3. Upon cancellation, you will not be entitled to a refund for the remaining days in your subscription period, except as provided under Section 7.

7. REFUND POLICY

7.1. Subscription payments are non-refundable once access to the premium service has been activated, except in the following circumstances:
• You were charged after having already cancelled your subscription before renewal;
• Duplicate charges were made in error; or
• The service was unavailable for an extended period due to a technical fault clearly attributable to Sinimax.
7.2. Approved refunds will be processed within 10–15 working days, depending on your payment method.
7.3. Refunds are made only to the original payment source used for the transaction.

8. ADVERTISING FOR FREE USERS

8.1. Free-tier users understand and agree that access to Sinimax content is supported by advertisements.
8.2. Sinimax may display targeted ads, pre-roll or mid-roll video ads, or banner promotions based on usage patterns and preferences.
8.3. Advertisers and third-party ad partners may collect limited, anonymized data consistent with our Privacy Policy.
8.4. Sinimax is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legality of third-party advertisements.

9. FAILED PAYMENTS AND ACCOUNT SUSPENSION

9.1. If a payment attempt fails, Sinimax will:
• Retry the transaction using your stored payment method;
• Notify you of the failed payment; and
• Suspend or restrict premium access until payment is successfully completed.
9.2. Continuous failed billing attempts may result in account termination.

10. DISPUTES & CHARGEBACKS

10.1. If you believe an unauthorized or incorrect charge has occurred, you must notify Sinimax within 7 days of the transaction by emailing billing@sinimax.ng with relevant details.
10.2. Users must first seek to resolve disputes directly with Sinimax before initiating any chargebacks with their bank or payment provider.
10.3. Filing a false or fraudulent chargeback may lead to immediate account termination and possible legal action.

11. PROMOTIONS, DISCOUNTS & GIFT PLANS

11.1. From time to time, Sinimax may offer special pricing, discount codes, or bundled subscription plans.
11.2. Each offer will be governed by its specific terms, which may override parts of this Policy to the extent of any inconsistency.
11.3. Promotional offers are non-transferable, cannot be combined, and have limited validity periods.

12. TERMINATION BY SINIMAX

12.1. Sinimax may suspend or terminate your account and access to services if:
• You breach any term of this Policy or our Terms of Service;
• You engage in fraudulent payment behavior; or
• Required by law or a regulatory authority.
12.2. Termination does not affect accrued payment obligations or rights of Sinimax under this Policy.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

13.1. Sinimax shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from subscription use, payment errors, or service interruptions.
13.2. Our total liability to you under this Policy shall not exceed the amount of subscription fees paid in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

14. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

14.1. This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
14.2. Parties shall seek to resolve all disputes amicably. Where such efforts fail, the matter may be referred to a court of competent jurisdiction in Lagos State, Nigeria.
